Nice work, Reed.
I like your writing... Hope the shack nasties shake out OK this season... Nick
Nick,
Thank you for the kind comment. Have no fear for me regarding the "shack nasties", I, as you could see from the post, am made of sterner stuff than my unfortunate comrade, Al. Reed
I don't know much about cabin fever. Being from Alabama, our winters last all of two weeks or so. But I do know about road trip fever. Last summer I came near to murdering (nay, it would have been self-defense) one of my good friends on a road trip to Yellowstone. His normally entertaining sarcasm (which he mistakenly believes is a handy method of providing indirect advice), stretched out over 30 hours of interstate, became unbearable. He's lucky I didn't bury him under a rock in South Dakota. I hate it when fishing buddies lose their minds and go nuts. Take care,
nathan
Nathan,
I certainly commiserate with you regarding the deranged individual who shared your trip. You, fortunately, showed excellent self-control -- I've seen a lot of perfectly appropriate rocks for him in South Dakota. Yah, some just can't hack it; not like us with our sterves of neel. Reed P.S. -- Just between ourselves, Al didn't exist. I built the cabin in the photo on PEI and spent the winter there. After a while I had loud shouting matches with myself; but never lost an argument. |
